Volvo's portable navigation device comes with pre-programmed road maps for Europe, Russia or for USA and Canada. On other markets where map data is available the "World Edition" model should be chosen. The navigation device is equipped with automatic route calculation, 2D or 3D map views, voice guidance, which also pronounces street names and an easy to use touch screen.

You can also load your own personal Points of Interest (POI). These can include anything from speed cameras to camping sites, etc. This type of information is easily transferred to the device via the software "POI Loader".

The navigator also has the "Where am I" function. A simple press on the screen gives the driver a precise current position in latitude and longitude. At the same time as showing nearby addresses and junctions, nearest hospitals, police stations and petrol stations.

The navigation unit also remembers where you are parked. It automatically saves your position when you remove it from its cradle, which means you can even navigate when on foot and use the unit to find your way back to the car. Perfect in unknown areas or in busy areas such as amusement parks, arenas and shopping malls.
